Let your baby have some pasta
If you want your baby to be a pasta lover, you may try to start training him on the course. Usually, pasta is introduced to babies when they reach their eighth month. Some mommies wait for their babies to reach the tenth month as they have by then experimented already on how to chew. You probably have a range of food choices, but pasta will definitely be an ideal addition to your baby’s food list.
Babies love colors. Babies love shapes. It should take a while for your baby to hold a fork but it is better for him to develop a taste for it during his early stages. You can give him a variety of pasta. For him to enjoy his meal, you can give him the most attractive shapes like the shells, egg noodles, alphabet pasta and the bow ties. Still, do not forget to cut the pasta so your baby enjoys the small bites. Make sure that baby gets just a little of everything. For instance, if you notice your baby pines for meat, give him small cuts and let him play with his fork. A little is tasty enough for your baby.
Pasta is also a great source of carbohydrates. Carbohydrates produce energy to keep people high with energy. It is nutritious and most of them especially the ones for babies are rich with vitamins and minerals.
Also, pasta comes in affordable offerings. You don’t need to feed your baby expensive pasta just yet. Even the TV dinner spaghetti or lasagna is more than enough for your baby to enjoy. Also, experiment by making use of different sauces out there. Try a meaty sauce for a balance of nutrients, or perhaps white ones for a milky treat.
There is something you have to watch out though. Be careful of allergy histories! Most pasta is made from wheat which is rich in Gluten. Gluten refers to storage protein found in grains. Studies reveal that it is better to give pasta to babies much later for families that have history of wheat allergy. Better consult with the pediatrician first. But then, if you notice no allergic reaction to oats and other wheat-rich products, chances are your baby will not have to suffer from gluten intolerance.
Pasta is a great food choice for your baby. Not only is it nutritious, it’s yummy and easy to prepare as well. Pasta can be mixed and matched easily with other food products, making sure that your baby won’t tire of it that easily. So take the chance and let your kid eat something stylish – try pasta, for that added touch of pizzazz!
