Shopping for Baby Clothes

Shopping for baby clothes should not be that hard. But there are would-be mothers who always end up lost in the department store confused about what baby clothes to buy for their new-born. There are so many designs, brands, fabrics, colors and sizes to choose from in the department store.
But you should remember the babies grow really fast so you don’t have to spend too much time and energy in choosing for the baby clothes. Another thing is that babies will not get out of the house everyday. The first few weeks will be for sleeping, feeding, peeing and pooing. So, you don’t have to make it difficult in buying baby clothes.
Just choose those that have soft and breathable fabrics. The most common is cotton fabric. They also reduce the chance of your baby having rashes or skin irritations. Choose the very basic clothes with neutral colors. There are many instances where the doctor says that the baby is a girl based on the sonogram but when the baby comes out, he’s actually a boy. So just choose white or cream for the colors.
Don’t buy very expensive baby clothes. Baby clothes grow fast. You’ll realize that what you buy today, your baby can’t wear after 3 weeks. It is best to buy comfortable, simple clothes than to buy designer clothes that will only be used for a few weeks. As for the size, make a allowance for the tummy of the baby because the baby’s belly button will be sensitive during the first days because of the cut umbilical cord.
Just choose simple basic comfortable baby clothes, hit the cashier and go. You don’t have to stay for hours in the baby’s clothing apparel. Save your time for other buys such as strollers, cribs and the likes.
